FAQ's
Listed below are frequently asked
questions regarding athletic participation. There are questions constantly being
added to the list, so continue to check here before calling in your question.
How many
plays will my son/daughter participate in each game?
- Every player is guaranteed
participation in games. Some athletes will participate more than others depending on the position of
the particular athlete and the number of athletes available for a particular
position.
My son/daughter wants to play
a specific position. Is this a guarantee when he/she registers to play?
- At registration, every player has the opportunity to
request to play any position of the game. No position is ever promised to a player. The
positions are filled to meet the needs of the team. All positions are
significant to the success of the game.
Where does my money go?
- All of the monies you pay at registration
benefit the
players and fund the costs of running the Association. We are a Non Profit
Association, therefore, no Coach, Team mom, Trainer, General Board Member or
Executive Board Member receive any monies for their time. All persons who work
with your child are volunteers.
What does my child get to
keep as a remembrance of participation?
- We have incorporated into the registration fee the
costs of all items your child will need to participate either football or
cheer. Though our uniforms for both football players and cheerleaders are
Association property, there are items supplied to you through the registration
fee that you will keep as your own.
What kind of fundraising does
your Association do?
- Interboro Youth Athletic
Association holds one Association
fundraiser which will benefit all of our participants, and proceeds are
allocated to the General Fund.
In addition, each team/squad will hold up to 3 additional fundraiser's & all
proceeds will be allocated to requested event.
For specific information, please speak with an Executive Board members.
Are there
sponsorships and/or scholarships available for families with financial hardships
or multiple participants?
- Yes, there are programs available. Please do not
hesitate to come to register your child because you don't think you can afford
the registration fee. We will work with you to make sure your child can
participate in our program.
